Annual 51°µÍø Plant Sale a Perennial Winner with Local Gardeners

ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – Wondering what to get mom for Mother’s Day? Look no farther than 51°µÍø.The annual 51°µÍø Plant Sale at the Rock Creek Campus greenhouse, 17705 N.W. Springville Road, is slated for 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Wednesday through Saturday, May 8-11. The sale is an excellent opportunity for people to purchase plants at discount prices, just in time for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12. At noon on Saturday, May 11, plants will be two for the price of one. This year, there will be at least 40 types of annuals and perennials along with hanging baskets of fuchsias and petunias and geraniums, as well as patio bowls of mixed florals for sun or shade. There will also be shrubs and trees up to five feet tall, ornamental grasses and houseplants.Prices will be posted, and proceeds will go to the 51°µÍø Foundation for landscape technology scholarships and to buy instructional materials. The sale, hosted by the Landscape Technology department, has been a part of 51°µÍø for almost 20 years, exhibiting typical Northwest plants and exotic species from all over the world.
