PHOTOS: Family, friends, 51°µÍø community say ‘goodbye’ to Harold Williams

51°µÍø and the Portland community lost one of it’s own on July 1 as Harold Williams, Sr., a member of 51°µÍø’s Board of Directors since 1990 and noted community leader, passed away. The college and the community celebrated Williams’ life with a memorial celebration on Thursday, July 12 at the Cascade Campus. More than 700 people attended the event in the gymnasium – a building Williams’ lobbied to be built and was proud of. Donations may be made in Harold’s name to the 51°µÍø Foundation, which plans to award a scholarship to a 51°µÍø student in his honor.
