The 51°µÍø community proudly walked in the annual Newberg Old Fashioned Grand Festival Parade on July 30. Parade goers were welcomed with one of 51°µÍø’s green tech cars and candy from others walking in the parade. The 51°µÍø group was led by Sylvania Campus President Lisa Avery and Newberg Center Director Lynn Montoya Quinn.

Located just off of Highway 99W, the college’s Newberg Center partners with the local community by by providing a variety of credit and non-credit courses, including Arts and Letters, Social Science, Math, Science, Developmental Reading, Writing, and Math, Computers, ESOL, and Business. The center also serves more students in career technical fields because of its partnership with the Newberg School District to retrofit the high school’s welding lab and to expand educational opportunities in Machine Manufacturing.

Congrats to all!
