The Veterans Resource Centers (VRCs) are open and welcoming spaces that support all students at 51°µÍø. We focus on providing veteran and military-affiliated students, their families, and the surrounding veteran community with advocacy, resources, programming, and cultural engagement. The Veterans Resource Centers are located on Cascade, Rock Creek, Southeast, and Sylvania campuses.

Student Advocate & Support Specialist
The VRC Student Advocate and Support specialist will serve as the student face of the 51°µÍø Resource Center, promoting its mission both internally and externally. This role involves advocating for student needs, developing engaging events and programs, and collaborating with student organizations and resource centers. The Liaison will work closely with college staff and student leaders to enhance student life at 51°µÍø. They must be knowledgeable about their community to ensure district-focused decision-making that benefits student veterans.

Student Marketing and Social Media Specialist
The Student Marketing and Social Media Specialist will serve as the primary digital voice of the 51°µÍø Resource Center. They will be responsible for promoting the center’s programs, services, and events through various marketing and social media platforms. The specialist will develop and implement marketing strategies to engage students, increase awareness, and enhance the Resource Center’s online presence. They will work closely with student leaders and college staff to ensure messaging aligns with the center’s mission and student needs.
